QuakeNotch is a Mac app that brings a full-featured terminal into your MacBook's notch. The terminal slides down smoothly when you need it, so you can execute commands, run scripts, and manage your system with quick access. It supports multiple tabs and pane splitting, and the app also shows progress for CLI commands, including real-time updates and progress bars, directly in the notch.
The app includes QPilot, a local AI agent integrated into the terminal that you can reach with a single click. It also offers Apple Music integration, letting you browse your playlists and songs, play tracks, and watch a music oscillator with six themes. You can customize the look and behavior with six animated background effects, custom keyboard shortcuts, and Liquid Glass UI on macOS 26+.
QuakeNotch can be downloaded and used for free. If you like it, you can buy a QuakeNotch Pro license through the developer's Patreon page to support development. The app can also be installed via Homebrew with `brew install --cask quakenotch`.
