Quicken's Mac desktop software covers budgeting, investing, and business finances, with all data stored locally. It runs natively on Apple Silicon processors and offers several plans to fit different needs. You can connect checking, savings, credit card, debt, investment, 401(k), IRA, and other accounts from over 14K institutions, then track bills, spending trends, and an annual budget that you can customize month by month. Investment tracking spans brokerage, retirement, and private holdings, with performance viewable by asset class or custom tags. Tax reports, including itemized deductions and capital gains, can be generated automatically and exported to TurboTax.

Higher-tier plans add more tools. Classic Premier adds investment management, bill payment within Quicken, Zillow integration for property values, and priority phone support. Classic Business & Personal includes everything in Premier plus invoicing, business reports such as P&L and cash flow, mileage expense tracking, and accounting for rental properties.

The entry-level Classic Deluxe plan provides budgeting with unlimited tags and categories, reports on profitability and cash flow, debt tracking with what-if scenarios for paying down loans, and bank statement reconciliation.
