About
Quickgif is a GIF picker for macOS that lives in your menu bar. Press ⌘ + ⌥ + V to open it, type to search, select a GIF with the arrow keys, and press Enter to copy it, so you can find and share GIFs without touching the mouse. You can also drag and drop GIFs into apps like Slack, Teams, Discord, Messages, and Mail, or onto your desktop, and clicking a GIF copies it to your clipboard.
Quickgif follows your system's light or dark appearance automatically, with no settings to adjust. The core app is free. A Premium version adds favorites, so your top GIFs stay in one place, along with search suggestions, random filenames, and link copying. You can change the keyboard shortcut in Settings.
Quickgif is currently available only for macOS, and there are no plans yet for Windows or Linux versions. Version 1.4 moved GIF search to a new provider (Klipy) after Tenor shut down its API, and favorites saved before that update could not be carried over.
