About
Racket is a mature and stable programming language that has supported cross-platform graphical programming on Windows, macOS, and Linux from the beginning. It includes a comprehensive suite of libraries, covering areas from web applications and databases to math, statistics, and scientific simulation, and thousands of additional packages can be installed with a single command. Its IDE, DrRacket, includes features such as drawing an arrow back to an identifier's definition when you mouse over it. The website describes Racket as a language for making languages. Programmers can define their own loops and syntax with macros, build domain-specific languages as libraries, and add higher-order software contracts and safe gradual typing (through Typed Racket) to harden their software. Editor support is available for VS Code, Emacs, and Vim.
