About

Readest is a free, open-source EPUB and PDF reader designed for deep, immersive reading. It offers highlights, notes, split-screen reading, text-to-speech, and cloud sync, and it is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, the Web, KOReader, and CrossPoint devices.

Use Parallel Read to view two books or documents side by side with synchronized scrolling and navigation. You can highlight passages, bookmark pages, take notes, and search across your entire ebook library. Customize fonts, margins, line spacing, and theme colors, choosing light, dark, or sepia modes. Built-in tools let you look up words, translate text with DeepL, and browse Wikipedia without leaving your book.

Readest can read any ebook aloud using AI-powered text-to-speech. Your highlights, notes, and reading progress sync automatically, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
