About
Recut automatically removes silence from your videos in seconds. It analyzes your audio and video files to find the silence and creates a cut list automatically, acting like an assistant editor who does the rough cut for you. Its cut lists export as XML to Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, ScreenFlow, and CapCut, and it also exports standard MP4, WAV, and M4A files.
Recut is non-destructive and supports multi-track editing, so it can cut across multiple cameras and mics. You can customize the sensitivity of silence detection, which the website says produces smoother, more natural results. The site describes Recut as a Mac and Windows app.
Recut is available as a one-time purchase for $129 with a 30-day money-back guarantee, or as a subscription at $15 per month or annually. A free trial is fully functional with no watermark and includes 3 free exports. Each license is for one user.
