About
Reflect Notes is an open-source note-taking app for Mac built around daily notes, backlinks, and local Markdown files. You start with today's note, and your notes live in a folder you choose. The Mac app is free and requires no subscription.
Backlinks connect your notes into a graph of ideas, and frictionless search helps you recall and index past notes and ideas. Instant capture lets you save web clips and record audio memos. The Chrome extension on Mac can capture links, text, and screenshots, and it saves the source link alongside your clips. You can sync your notes with iCloud Drive or Git.
AI is optional. Connect your own API key to find answers linked to your notes, summarize text, or improve your writing. Requests go directly to your provider, and your provider bills AI usage separately. Notes marked private are excluded from AI note access.
