rekordbox

About

rekordbox is a DJ application for Mac and Windows that covers music preparation and live performance. Its track analysis can be sped up with Cloud Analysis, which the site says shortens analysis time by up to 35%. Cloud Library Sync keeps a music library updated across up to 8 devices (with the Professional plan), and tracks managed in the cloud can be loaded directly to compatible devices through CloudDirectPlay. The software also offers a track-splitting feature that isolates vocals, drums, bass, and instrumental parts for separate playback.

rekordbox connects to DJ hardware through a compatible controller via USB or Bluetooth, and it works with CDJ and XDJ multi players. Its companion iOS and Android app is free, includes basic features with no ads, and lets users edit cue points and grid information on a smartphone and sync changes back to a PC or Mac. Mobile Library Sync transfers libraries between computer and device on the same network.

DJs quoted on the site describe rekordbox as useful for organizing and tagging large libraries, sorting tracks by BPM or key, using color-coded hot cues, and building playlists, while praising its reliability and customer service.
