About
RepoPrompt is a native macOS app for curating context, running deep analysis, and orchestrating coding agents. Its Community Edition is free, open source, and under active development. The older Classic edition is archived and no longer supported.
RepoPrompt's Context Builder explores your codebase, selects the most relevant files within a token budget, and hands that curated context to analysis models. CodeMaps use tree-sitter to show function signatures, letting agents see more files, and the app offers 15+ token-efficient MCP tools. It connects to MCP-compatible clients and CLI agents, including Codex CLI, Claude Code, Antigravity CLI, and OpenCode.
For larger tasks, RepoPrompt can plan with a reasoning model, then dispatch sub-agents across providers to implement the work, with each sub-agent scoped to its own files. Sessions can run in parallel or sequentially, the orchestrator can steer them mid-flight, and it verifies that the work follows the plan until the task is complete.
