About
Reqable is a cross-platform API development tool that combines traffic analysis and REST API testing in one app. Its debugging proxy supports HTTP/1.x and HTTP/2, WebSocket, gRPC, and SSE, along with HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies and TLS 1.1 through 1.3. Developers can filter traffic by application, domain, data type, and bookmarks, create requests from traffic lists, collections, or cURL commands, and use diff tools to compare requests and responses. Rewrite and breakpoint rules, Python scripting, and mobile traffic forwarding to the desktop app are also supported.
For API testing, Reqable offers editing of query parameters, headers, bodies, and authorization, along with environment variables, file uploads, and importing Postman and Hoppscotch collections. Users can also generate code snippets, export cURL commands, and save requests to API collections.
Reqable is positioned as a lightweight alternative to heavier tools, with an installation size of about 30 MB and a minimalist interface. It offers dark and light themes with customizable accent and code highlighting colors. The source material also mentions a free trial, cloud sync across devices, and an MCP server.
