About
Retcon is a Mac app for rewriting Git history. You can move, fixup, delete, reword, or edit commits with drag-and-drop, and for each change Retcon shows what the result will look like in place. You can make all the changes you have in mind and leave conflict resolution until the end, so conflicts give you feedback without stopping you. Rewording a commit in Retcon also leaves your files and stage intact.
Retcon makes undoing mistakes straightforward. Pressing ⌘Z reverses actions such as creating or deleting a commit, rebasing a branch, pulling or pushing to a remote, creating or deleting a branch, and staging or unstaging a file. The website also lists the equivalent Git CLI commands for each undo, for use when you aren't working in Retcon.
Retcon requires macOS 14.3 or later. A 14-day trial is available to download.
