About
Retrobatch is a batch image processor for the Mac built around nodes. You can mix, match, and combine different operations to create a workflow that fits your needs. Batch process one image or thousands, with support for reading and writing common file formats, multiple inputs, and multiple outputs. Its nodes cover a wide range of tasks: editing, adding, or wiping metadata such as GPS coordinates, copyright tags, and author information; resizing, cropping, trimming, and rotating; and converting files to formats including HEIC, JPEG, JPEG-XL, PDF, PNG, WebP, and TIFF. It can also edit, assign, or strip color profiles, and add text or image watermarks.
Retrobatch also includes photo effects, filters, and blurs, such as LUT-based camera looks, Film Grain, Sepia, and drop shadows. Machine learning features include super-resolution scaling, the Auto Level node, text recognition, and a Rules node for filtering images by attributes like color profile, file format, size, and orientation. For automation, workflows can run through Shortcuts, AppleScript, shell scripts, and Folder Actions, and can be triggered by copied clipboard images or run at set intervals.
Retrobatch is available as a Universal Binary for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs and requires macOS 12 or later. It comes in two versions: Regular, which includes a smaller set of the most common nodes, and Pro, which includes the full set. A 7-day free trial is available.
