About
Rippling device management lets IT teams secure every device in their fleet from a single platform, alongside identity and inventory management. Its agents track device details such as serial number, OS version, battery health, and disk usage, and can act on that data before an employee files a ticket. Automated lifecycle management covers Apple and Windows devices, and custom security policies can be built from hundreds of user and device attributes. Custom workflows can notify IT of security threats without manual device checks, and point-and-click reports help teams understand their security status and pull audit data. SentinelOne is integrated for endpoint detection and response.
Rippling also automates device onboarding and offboarding. A new hire event can trigger device purchase, configuration, app installs, security policies, and shipment. IT can order, reassign, and ship devices to new hires, and configure laptops, iPhones, and iPads based on attributes such as location, department, and role. When an employee leaves, IT can schedule a device lock and wipe, automate device retrievals, and store unused devices in Rippling's secure facilities.
For inventory, Rippling handles logistics such as sending offboarding employees a device return box, storing inactive devices in a secure warehouse, monitoring and restocking offsite inventory, and reassigning and shipping unused devices to new employees.
