RØDE Connect is a simple, powerful, and free software solution for podcasting and livestreaming. It lets you connect up to four guests using a wide range of compatible RØDE microphones and interfaces, then mix, process, record, and stream your audio. The software is available for both Mac and Windows.
RØDE Connect includes a fully featured recording interface with broadcast-style faders, level metering, and mute buttons. Virtual channels let you connect remote guests, integrate streaming applications, and add music beds. Every channel receives automatic mix-minus for clear, echo-free audio. A sound pads section offers 3 playback styles and up to 8 banks of sound. Depending on your RØDE product, you can also access its on-board digital signal processing, such as a noise gate, EQ, and compressor, or effects like the APHEX Aural Exciter and Big Bottom.
The software is designed for both podcasters and livestreamers. For podcasting, it supports multiple microphones on one computer and easy remote caller integration. For livestreaming, it offers streamlined control over microphone audio and external applications, plus dedicated output controls for streaming apps such as OBS.
