About
RustRover is an IDE for Rust that aims to handle the setup and routine work so you can focus on your code. It offers context-aware code completion and generation, on-the-fly analysis and quick-fixes, smart refactorings, and live templates. It can install rustup from the IDE, apply compiler-suggested fixes in one click, and manage Cargo.toml dependencies and main.rs entries for you. It also highlights syntax elements, including inferred types, macros, cfg blocks, and unsafe code, and provides type information and quick access to language and crate documentation.
You can run, debug, test, and profile your code, including individual tests, test modules, or all tests in a project. Custom Run configurations support CLI application development. RustRover also provides full Cargo integration for editing TOML files and running Cargo commands, along with tools for web development, including an HTTP Client, Docker tooling, and database tooling. For teams, it supports real-time collaborative coding, sharing project configuration such as code style settings, and working with Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
RustRover is free for non-commercial use, which includes learning, open-source contributions without commercial benefit, content creation, and hobby development. It also includes natively integrated AI features, with access to multiple AI models or a local model of your choice.
