About
Sabaki is a modern, elegant Go (Baduk/Weiqi) board and SGF editor. It is free and open source, built with web technology based on Electron, and the website describes it as cross-platform. Its SGF editing tools include board markup such as the SGF 4-compliant line and arrow tool, support for annotating positions and moves, hotspots, and reviews written in Markdown. It also supports SGF game containers, which save and read multiple games within one file.
Sabaki offers an area or territory scoring tool for counting finished games, and a score estimator that shows which player is ahead mid-game. Users can toggle the life and death status of groups to refine the estimate. The game tree lets you navigate variations and test-play moves quickly, even with very large trees. When placing stones, they bump around organically to simulate a real goban, and a find mode lets you locate a move by clicking the spot on the board.
Sabaki can also connect to engines that use the Go Text Protocol, such as GNU Go and Pachi, so you can play against an engine or watch two engines play each other.
