About
Sæga is a Mac app for dictating and recording Swedish speech into text. Hold fn and talk, or press ⌥ Space, and your words appear wherever you're typing, in apps like Mail, Slack, Teams, and Notion. It also records meetings on your Mac without a meeting bot, giving you the full meeting as text, with your microphone and the Mac's audio written separately. You can transcribe podcasts and videos too, saving the result as text, Markdown, or subtitles.
When you dictate, Sæga removes false starts and corrections, so what remains is what you meant. It keeps Swedish compound words together, learns the names you use, and adapts to the app you're in, so an email reads differently from a chat reply or an AI prompt. It can also set reminders. A custom mode is included free.
Sæga is free and needs no account. Audio stays on your Mac in every mode, and text is sent to the cloud only when you ask for an AI-written result, such as a cleaned-up text, an email, or notes.
