About
SamuraiSafe Password Manager is a password manager for iOS and macOS. It supports Touch ID and Face ID as well as Password Autofill. Its Security Checkup function, available from the Tools menu on macOS, is described on the website as part of the app's security features. The site also notes that custom fields can be attached to password entries, with up to 20 per entry, and that the search field queries those custom labels and values.
The website describes several security measures in the app. Enhanced encryption uses PBKDF2 with 50 times more iterations, a safe-specific salt, and a minimum safe password strength setting that can be configured in settings. Autofill uses Apple's AutoFill Credential Provider Extension interface, which the site says avoids vulnerabilities associated with browser-based autofill. Passphrase generation is modeled on Diceware but uses a larger word list of about 21,000 words, and password strength is checked with the ZXCVBN meter.
