Satyrn is a modern Jupyter client for Mac that offers faster startup times than VS Code and JupyterLab. You can write prompts like a human and run them like code, and it works with all .ipynb files, which you can launch directly from Finder. It automatically detects existing kernels and conda environments, so no setup is needed. Satyrn also makes it easy to manage virtual environments, and its agent mode can put your analysis on autopilot.

For coding, Satyrn offers intelligent autocomplete and AI Edits, which let you rewrite code and generate code inline with context-aware prompt cells. You can connect to remote servers and query databases directly with SQL cells, and teach the AI about your database schema. To keep code reliable and organized, it includes linting support, Black code formatting, and code search. Plotly lets you explore millions of datapoints interactively, and you can copy graphs and tables with a single click.

Satyrn has a clutter-free design, with a minimalist interface, a command palette for remembering shortcuts, and truncated errors to help you stay focused. Satyrn is currently available as an alpha download.
