About
Scilab is free, open source software for numerical computation, aimed at students, academics, engineers, and scientists. It is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Scilab includes hundreds of mathematical functions and a high-level programming language that provides access to advanced data structures and 2-D and 3-D graphical functions. Its Xcos component is a graphical editor for designing hybrid dynamical systems models.
Scilab also offers community resources, including Discourse, GitLab, and social channels, as well as editors and IDEs such as Scilab Desktop, a VS Code extension, and a Jupyter kernel. Tutorials cover topics such as basic tools for signal processing, figures in Scilab, importing Excel data, and coronavirus spread modeling.
