About
Screenflick is a Mac screen recorder that captures your screen, system audio, microphone, and webcam at high quality, up to 60 fps (or higher on ProMotion displays). It records system audio from sources such as games, web browsers, and virtual meetings, and it can also record from the Mac's internal microphone or an external USB microphone. Screen, webcam, and mic recordings stay in sync for editing or upload. Screenflick is native and optimized for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and it can record any area of the screen from a thumbnail up to 5K resolution.
Beyond basic recording, Screenflick includes tools such as pause and resume, a paintbrush for drawing on the screen in several colors and brush sizes, and timelapse recording at a low frame rate that can be sped up on export. Users can hide unwanted windows from a recording by choosing which applications to record or exclude, and they can hide Desktop files behind a color or custom image. Export options include HEVC, H.264, WebM, ProRes, and GIF. Screenflick also offers scheduled recording, Automator and Shortcuts integration, and Remote Control from an iPhone, which can start, pause, resume, and stop recordings on one or more Macs. On macOS 13 or later, the camera on an iPhone or iPad can be used as a recording source.
Screenflick has been developed since 2007 and is used by teachers, students, developers, YouTubers, and other professionals. It requires macOS 11 or later and is available as a full license for $35. Version 3.3 is the current release.
