Seafile goes beyond basic file syncing and sharing. You can assign custom properties to files, such as owner, status, and security level, then filter, sort, and find files using those properties. AI can automatically generate file descriptions and extract key information for you.

Files can be viewed as a table, gallery, kanban, or map, based on their properties. Views support filtering, sorting, grouping, and hiding of properties. Seafile also offers online viewing and editing for multiple formats, including Office and text files, highly efficient file syncing, and granular sharing permissions such as read/write, read-only, and preview, with password protection and expiration times for share links. Multi-level tagging, with AI-generated tags, and built-in collaborative docs and wikis are also included, along with security features such as advanced encryption, file history recovery, and audit logs.
