Shortwave

About

Shortwave is an AI email assistant available on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. With the Shortwave Agent, you can organize, schedule, write, and search your email using a prompt. The AI can identify important emails and todos with a single click, and you can create custom AI filters that label, star, or archive emails using scripts written in plain English. Because the AI learns your voice and style from the emails you send, it can write and enhance messages that sound like you, and it can check your availability, create calendar events, and write scheduling emails.

The app also offers tools for managing your inbox. You can split your inbox into tabs, group promotions and newsletters into bundles, turn emails into an organized list of action items, and use delivery schedules to receive emails when you want them. Shortwave connects to Slack, Calendar, Notion, Asana, Hubspot, and more so you can automate workflows without leaving your inbox. It also shows when people read your emails and includes markdown support and keyboard shortcuts.

For teams, Shortwave supports real-time shared threads, private comments on emails, assigned next steps with a team-wide done status, and shared labels that form an AI-searchable email archive. Teams can also share snippets and saved prompts. The app states that it meets the requirements of CASA Tier 2 compliance.
