Slideshower for macOS

Slideshower is a lightweight macOS app for running simple, randomized, full-screen photo slideshows. It can mix photos and videos in the same slideshow, with videos playing inside single, side-by-side, 2x2, and 3x3 layouts. Shuffle mode mixes up the slideshow order, a feature the macOS Photos app does not offer.

The app also includes background music with volume control, reordering, and looping, plus logo or custom text overlays for branding or event displays. Captions can show the capture date, camera and lens info, filename, folder name, or your own text, and you can toggle them with the i key during a slideshow. Live Mode adds photos to the slideshow automatically as they are added to a monitored folder, and you can export a slideshow with photos and video clips to a single video file. Slideshows can be saved as .slideshow files, and Screen Saver Mode starts the slideshow automatically when your Mac is idle.

Slideshower has a free version with full functionality, limited to 150 photos per slideshow. The full version costs a one-time $19 license fee, allows unlimited photos per slideshow, can be activated on 2 devices, and includes all future updates. It runs on macOS Monterey (12.0) and later.
