About
Snapline is a native macOS screenshot app that lives in your menu bar. It covers capturing, annotating, recording, and scrolling capture, and lets you find any screenshot again by the text inside it. Holding the capture shortcut opens a Capture Menu at your pointer with every mode on one wheel, and every shortcut can be rebound in Settings. Scrolling Capture stitches a long page into one tall PNG by reading pixels only, detecting sticky headers and footers so they are kept once.
The annotation tools include vector shapes, redaction by solid box, blur, or pixelate, non-destructive crop, an eyedropper, a measure tool, and a Background stage for wrapping shots. Screen recording exports to MP4 or GIF, with optional webcam bubble, click highlights, keystroke display, and microphone and system audio on separate tracks, plus a zoom key that magnifies the area under the pointer. Snapline Studio, included with every license on Apple silicon Macs, records screen, camera, and pointer data as separate parts for later editing.
Snapline is a one-time purchase of $25 after a free 14-day trial, with no subscription or account and a 30-day refund. It requires macOS 14 or later.
