SoftRAID 9 is a software RAID solution for Mac and Windows that adds RAID 6 and RAID 6+, which protect your array when two drives fail at the same time. It supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 6+, and 10, and it gives you visibility into each volume, each drive's health status, and performance metrics in real time. SoftRAID Monitor warns you about potential failures on HDDs, SSDs, and NVMe drives before they happen.
SoftRAID 9 also moves data between platforms. Built-in OWC MacDrive technology lets you move Apple-formatted APFS and HFS+ volumes between Mac and Windows, and it supports encrypted APFS volumes on Windows without removing their encryption. The software is built with the latest driver technology to deliver maximum RAID speeds on macOS and Windows, with speeds of up to 26,000MB/s.
SoftRAID 9 is intended for workflows where data loss is not acceptable, such as broadcast and post-production archives, legal and compliance storage, and scientific research datasets. It offers a free Standard tier and a Premium tier with more features, and a 30-day free trial is available.
