About

Soulver combines a classic notepad app with a natural language calculator. You type words and numbers together, and its answer column shows results on the right. Its calculator recognizes dates, currencies, units, and natural-language phrases, so you can work at the level of your problem. Soulver also holds your calculations on the page, including variables, scenarios, and totals.

Soulver includes line references, which let you reuse an answer in a later calculation, and subtotals, which you add by double-clicking a blank line beneath other lines. Multi-word variables update answers when their values change, and tags let you total or average lines that share a tag. For trip planning, you can mark lines with dates or times to work out the dates of each segment. Live currency prices and weather are available, and 190 currencies and 8 popular tech stocks are included for free. Access to 150k+ stocks and Wolfram|Alpha requires an optional data services subscription.

Soulver is available for Mac, iPad, and iPhone. It offers a 60-day free trial and a $59 one-time purchase, and it is also available on Setapp for $15/month, which includes 260 apps.
