About
SpaceWise is a Mac app for developers who find their drive full of macOS "System Data." According to its website, that label often hides 50–150 GB of Docker virtual disks, Xcode DerivedData, local AI model weights, and dormant project caches. SpaceWise breaks this category down into its components and helps you safely free the space. It runs on macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon), with an Intel Mac version also offered.
Before recommending any deletion, SpaceWise runs a four-layer check: it validates lockfiles such as package-lock.json, yarn.lock, and pnpm files; it checks commit timestamps to protect active workspaces; it confirms that caches can be rebuilt with one command; and it moves files to the macOS Trash so you can undo with one click. Its tools cover AI session transcripts and embeddings, IDE and model stores, unused node_modules folders, Docker and Xcode simulators, and a storage map with a large file hunter and duplicate finder. A menu bar companion can run scheduled cleanups in the background.
SpaceWise processes everything on your device. The website states that it has zero telemetry, makes no cloud scans, and works offline. The current launch deal is a lifetime license for $3.99 (regularly $7.99) covering 3 devices.
