About
Stats is a macOS system monitor that lives in your menu bar. It can display CPU, GPU, memory, disk, and network utilization, battery level, sensor information (temperature, voltage, and power), and Bluetooth devices. It also includes a multiple time zone clock. Fan control is available but is in legacy mode and no longer receives updates. Stats supports macOS 12 (Monterey) and newer, and only stable macOS releases.
You can install Stats by downloading the latest Stats.dmg, by running `brew install stats` through Homebrew, or by running a headless install script over SSH. The SSH option installs the app, enables the Remote module, and links the machine to a System Stats account so it can stream metrics. The Mac needs an active user session for the app to run.
The project is published under the MIT license. The website notes that Sensors and Bluetooth are the most resource-intensive modules, and disabling them can reduce CPU usage and energy impact in some cases.
