Stremio

About

Stremio is a modern media center for macOS that lets you watch the content you want. It offers an easy-to-use, clean, and intuitive interface for navigating and finding what to watch, and it supports 4K HDR content. Stremio is also open-source, and its code is publicly auditable.

Content comes through Stremio's addon system. After you install Stremio and create an account, you can visit the addon catalog, install the addons you want, and then explore content in the Discover or Board sections. The app can play magnet links, normal HTTP links, and torrent files, which can be dragged and dropped. You can also cast to Chromecast from the desktop app. Stremio provides no content itself, so the more addons you install, the more content you can find.

Stremio keeps track of your progress across all your devices, so you can log in and continue watching without configuring the app again on each new device. It collects only the minimum personal data needed to create and sync your account. A Guest mode at signup requires no data, but it does not sync your library across devices. Stremio is funded by its community, and Supporter plans provide access to experimental features.
