About
Sublime Text is a text editor for code, markup, and prose, available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Its Sublime Text 4 release adds Tab Multi-Select, which lets you split the interface to view multiple tabs at once, with support across the side bar, tab bar, and Goto Anything. Definitions can be viewed side by side with the file you're working in, including through Goto Definition, Goto Reference, and Goto Symbol in Project, and definitions can be opened directly from auto-complete suggestions. Multiple selections let you rename variables quickly by selecting each occurrence of a word and editing them together.
Version 4 also brings GPU rendering on Linux, Mac, and Windows for a fluid interface at high resolutions, native support for Apple Silicon and Linux ARM64 builds, and a rewritten, context-aware auto-complete engine. The interface has been refreshed with new themes that support automatic dark-mode switching, and TypeScript, JSX, and TSX support is included by default. Syntax highlighting has been improved, memory usage reduced, and the Python API updated to Python 3.8 while remaining compatible with Sublime Text 3 packages.
