About

Superwhisper turns your voice into polished text in the apps you already use, including Slack, Gmail, and any other site or app. Select an app, press ⌥ + space, and start dictating. It works offline, so you can transcribe without Wi-Fi. You can enter names, abbreviations, and specialized terms once, and Superwhisper remembers them. Predefined modes adjust tone, structure, and formatting for different kinds of writing, and your edited transcript is pasted automatically into the app you're using.

Beyond dictation, Superwhisper supports over 100 languages and dialects and can translate them into English. Its meeting assistant records and summarizes meetings with automatic notes, and file transcription turns uploaded video and audio files into transcripts. You can set custom shortcuts to launch, dictate, and control the app, and use push to talk by holding a key, speaking, and releasing it.

For more control, Custom Mode lets you define formatting rules, structure preferences, and specialized prompts, and choose among models such as GPT, Claude, or Llama. Superwhisper also works with coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex, so you can dictate instructions to agents without touching your keyboard.
