About
Sxitch is a macOS app switcher that lets you select apps by their name. Type the first letters of an app's name, and Sxitch narrows the tree and switches the moment only one match is left. You can choose between grid, list, and radial views, and you can rename apps to find them by the names you know. Pinning keeps your most-used apps at the top, always one keystroke away.
Sxitch also covers the rest of your workspace. Hide mode cleans up your workspace, Quit mode shuts apps down, and each takes one keystroke. When an app has more than one window, a second keystroke lands on the exact one. You can blacklist apps so they stop appearing in the switcher, and custom modes let you run app groups or shell commands with their own icons. Optional extras include a custom opening animation and haptic feedback as you type and when your match lands.
Sxitch is free to start, and includes all views, all themes, and tree-based switching. Pro is a one-time $10 lifetime purchase covering 3 Macs, and adds features such as window picking, hiding and quitting, and unlimited custom modes. It requires macOS 15 or later and runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
