About
Syncovery is a sync, backup, copy, and migration tool available for Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and NAS systems. It can copy between local drives, network shares, and mobile devices via MTP, or over FTP, SFTP, rsync, WebDAV, and other protocols. It supports many cloud storage services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Amazon S3, and includes Rclone to connect to additional clouds. Syncovery installs automatically as a free 30-day trial, and no registration is needed.
Users can create multiple jobs, run them manually with a Sync Preview or let the scheduler run them automatically. Each job can have multiple destinations. The Wizard Mode offers step-by-step guidance for creating a first sync or backup job. For more advanced needs, Syncovery offers real-time synchronization, compression, encryption, email notifications, and extensibility through PascalScript. Real-time synchronization is available on Windows and macOS only.
Syncovery also includes features for specific tasks. SmartTracking detects moved, deleted, and conflicting files in two-way sync jobs. Versioning keeps multiple versions of modified files so they can be restored from an earlier date using the Restore Wizard. Block level copying copies only changed blocks in large files to save bandwidth and backup space. Its fast multi-threaded folder scanning handles millions of files, and its NTFS copying features support large-scale file server migrations.
