About
Tabel is a native Mac app for PostgreSQL and SQLite. Its database engine is written in Rust and keeps results in memory, and the native grid draws only the rows on screen, so large tables stay responsive. You can page through tables, sort by clicking a column, and filter with options such as contains, =, IN, and IS NULL, or write your own WHERE clause. You can edit cells, add, duplicate, and delete rows, and set values to NULL. Changes are highlighted and saved together in one transaction, and Show SQL previews the exact statements that will run.
Tabel also includes a SQL editor with syntax highlighting, autocompletion for tables, columns, and keywords, and query cancellation for long-running queries. Query history stays on your Mac. For connections, Tabel supports SSH tunnels using ed25519, ECDSA, or RSA keys or a password, and TLS for PostgreSQL. Coming from TablePlus, you can import your connection list, including names, hosts, SSH settings, groups, colours, and environments, or paste a connection URL.
Tabel has no account, subscription, ads, analytics, crash reporting, or tracking, and your connections and passwords stay on your Mac in the macOS Keychain. It is a one-time purchase of $4.99 and requires macOS 26 Tahoe or later, on Apple silicon or Intel Macs. It is available from the Mac App Store.
