About
Taphouse is a Homebrew GUI for Mac, built as a native SwiftUI app for macOS 14 and later. It lets you install, update, and clean up Homebrew packages from a visual interface, with access to 14,000+ formulae and casks and no terminal required. The core app is free and includes a visual package browser, one-click install and uninstall with real-time progress and logs, services management for tools like Postgres and Redis, cleanup and disk usage tools, snooze updates, and a CVE security scanner.
A paid Personal license (€9.99 one-time) adds the rest of the feature set. Its Time Machine feature takes restore points before upgrades, so you can roll back a package to its exact previous version. Other paid features include Apple Silicon Migration for replacing Intel apps running under Rosetta with native ARM builds, a release notes preview sourced from GitHub Releases, a package health dashboard, and a Brewfile import/export option. A Family license (€19.99 one-time) covers up to 10 Macs in one household. Taphouse is also included with Setapp.
Taphouse is available as a free download for macOS or via the command line with brew install --cask taphouse. It is a Universal app that runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
