About
Telari is a native macOS Markdown reader built for typography. It uses Knuth–Plass justification, the same global line-breaking algorithm as TEX, which optimizes the whole paragraph rather than each line, so mixed Chinese and English text stays flush and even. Drawn natively with CoreText and AppKit, it aims to be fast to launch, light on memory, and smooth to scroll.
Telari includes curated font presets with hand-tuned pairings, per-language font choices, and a settings panel with plenty to adjust. Its self-built typesetting engine reads the OpenType MATH table to place LaTeX formulas, offering TEX-grade math rendering without sacrificing performance.
Telari v0.6.3 is available as a free public beta for macOS 13 and later. It is paid software and is free during the beta; the release version will be paid, and early users will get a discount.
