About
Testpiler is a native Mac app that converts unit tests written in Swift from XCTest to the Swift Testing framework. You can add a folder of unit tests or individual test files, preview a diff of the proposed changes before anything happens, and then convert files one at a time or in a batch. Migration options can be adjusted to match your code style, such as whether the @Test attribute goes on a new line or whether the `test` method prefix is removed or kept.
Testpiler's migration engine is built on the Swift compiler, which the developers say gives it a deep understanding of your code. The app runs entirely on-device, and your source code is not sent to any servers. It includes no analytics, so if you find a migration issue, you can share code snippets with the developers to help improve the migrator.
Testpiler is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. It is compatible with macOS 27 "Golden Gate" on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, with a minimum requirement of macOS 14 "Sonoma".
