About
ToothFairy lets you connect AirPods and other Bluetooth devices to your Mac with a single click or keypress. Each device can get its own menu bar icon, showing at a glance whether it is connected or disconnected and, where supported, its battery level. It works with AirPods as well as headphones, speakers, headsets, game pad controllers, keyboards, and mice, and supports multiple devices with a different icon and hotkey for each. ToothFairy can also use the higher quality AAC codec for audio-only use, can run shell scripts when devices connect or disconnect, and is AppleScriptable so other apps and automations can control your devices. It launches at login and can hide its Dock icon so it appears only in the menu bar.
What's new
All release notes- Due to an issue in macOS Tahoe 26, sometimes a Blueooth device will be correctly paired with the Mac but not shown in the Bluetooth selector dialog when you try to add the device in ToothFairy. If that happens, go to “System Settings > Bluetooth” and click the “i” button next to your device. Then click “Forget This Device...” and then “Forget Device”. Then re-pair the Bluetooth device with your Mac. Now it should show up in the Bluetooth selector dialog in ToothFairy. The dialog now includes some text explaining this. - Removed an unused icon file. If you enjoy using ToothFairy, please take a moment to rate it or leave a review. We’d really appreciate it.
