About
TouchRuler is a digital ruler for Mac that works on your display, in Notification Center, and on the Touch Bar. It includes an on-screen 20 centimetre ruler and a 12 centimetre ruler for the MacBook Pro's Touch Bar. With TouchRuler mini, you can add the ruler to Notification Center and drag it onto your desktop or a full-screen app to measure on the fly. Its centimetre values appear in large text beneath the tick marks for quick readings, and you can click the ruler with the Click Pad to copy an exact measurement to your clipboard. TouchRuler calibrates automatically to the millimetre based on your display's information, with manual adjustment available later.
Both TouchRuler and TouchRuler mini can be customised with four themes (Minimalistic, Classic, Warm, and Cool), made transparent to measure on-screen elements, and set to float above other windows. It is aimed at designers, architects, students, scientists, mathematicians, and anyone who needs a ruler on hand. It is available on the Mac App Store for $0.99 USD.
