About
Transfer is a standalone file server for your Mac that supports TFTP, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS, each on a port you choose, over IPv4 and IPv6. It's built for IT and network administrators who use these protocols to update firmware, transfer configuration files, and collect logs from network devices. When you launch Transfer, it starts serving files right away and shows the addresses clients can use to reach your Mac.
Transfer includes TFTP options such as block size, timeout, transfer size, and block number rollover, and can optionally accept TFTP requests sent to the broadcast address. You can require a username and password or allow anonymous access on trusted networks, generate a self-signed HTTPS certificate or use your own, and enable read-only mode so clients can only download. Downloads and uploads appear in separate lists, and the transfer history shows completed and failed transfers, with transfer rate, time left, and client IP address, and can be exported to CSV. A file browser lets you preview, open, rename, delete, and drag files in or out.
Transfer requires macOS 13.5 or later and is available for US$19.99, with a 3-day free trial from the developer's website and on the Mac App Store.
