About
Transnomino is a free batch rename utility for the Mac. It offers renaming actions ranging from straightforward text replacements to advanced modifications using Regular Expressions, and it can insert text based on file attributes such as creation date, ID3 tags, and EXIF data. You can sequence multiple renaming actions and preview the results in real time as you build them.
Available actions include Find and Replace with wildcard support, Insert Text, Prefix and Suffix, Set Filename, Numbering (in decimal, hexadecimal, or Roman numerals), Trim, Case Changes, Diacritic Removal, and Windows Compatibility. Each action can be applied to the filename, path, extension, or full path, and the Select action lets you filter files by a Regular Expression pattern so that later actions affect only the selected files. Frequently used sequences can be saved as recipes for reuse.
Transnomino supports automation and is available in Version 10.1.0 for macOS 14 and later, with legacy versions offered for earlier systems.
