About
Tubist is a free Mac app that puts a player for YouTube videos in your menu bar. It is meant for videos you don't need to watch constantly, so you can keep them playing while you work.
Because the player lives in the menu bar rather than in a browser tab, quitting your browser won't silence your video. The app stays out of the way until you need it.
Tubist is available for free from the Mac App Store, and the developer's website links to a support page for the app.
