Tumult Hype is a Mac app for creating HTML5 web content, including interactive content and animations that work on desktops, smartphones, and iPads. Its keyframe-based animation system can record your movements automatically or let you add, remove, and rearrange keyframes by hand. You can also draw natural curves by adding bézier control points to an element's motion path. Timelines and actions add interactivity: actions such as mouse clicks, touch events, specific times, or document events can trigger animations, scene transitions, sounds, or JavaScript functions, and scenes work like slides to organize content.
Hype outputs HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and supports HTML5 audio and video along with effects such as blurring, hue shifts, box shadows, reflection, and 3D transformations. When exporting, it creates a self-contained directory that you upload to your web server. You then paste three lines of HTML into your existing page. The runtime is 24 KB (compressed). Hype can also export to MP4 (video only), Animated GIF, and iBooks Author.
Tumult Hype is available as a free trial for macOS 10.10 and later, and the full app costs $49.99 USD. Hype Professional is an In-App Purchase that adds Responsive Layouts, Physics, Symbols, and more.
