About
TuneTag is a native macOS app, built in Swift, for editing ID3 and metadata in audio files. Metadata holds details such as the title, album name, artist, album art, and track numbers, and ID3 is the de facto standard container for it, most commonly used in MP3 files. TuneTag is designed to do one thing: edit audio file metadata. You can drag audio files or folders into the app to see supported files ready for editing, and changes are processed immediately.
TuneTag includes tools for working across many files at once. You can batch rename files, batch edit track titles, and increment track numbers. Quick Look previews songs without leaving the app, and you can strip unsupported metadata or export cover art. Dragging files out of TuneTag to the Finder creates a copy of the audio file.
TuneTag requires macOS 14 or later and runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It supports MP3, M4A, M4B, AIFF, WAV, and FLAC files, and it is localized for English and French.
