Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Tuxera lets you read and write storage devices, such as USB memory sticks and external hard disks, that use the NTFS format. You can open, edit, copy, move, or delete files on Windows NTFS-formatted drives from your Mac, and use the same drives on Windows PCs or Macs. The software offers a free 14-day trial and supports macOS 27 Golden Gate.
The app is designed to keep files intact and to speed up transfers. Its smart caching technology is intended to reduce the time spent waiting for files to save or copy between an external drive and a Mac. The included Tuxera Disk Manager is a companion app for formatting, checking, and repairing NTFS drives. The software also works with dual-boot and virtual machine setups, and it supports extended attributes, automatic file name translation, and most third-party software.
The app runs on a wide range of Macs, including PowerPC, Intel, and Apple silicon models, with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later. Licensing is one license per person.
