Typinator

About

Typinator is a private text expander for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. You type a few characters, and it expands them into longer text you use often, such as emails, addresses, code, or templates. It works system-wide on macOS and iOS, so shortcuts expand in apps like Safari, Mail, Slack, and Notion. You can start with ready-made snippet sets or create your own.

Typinator stores all abbreviations and sets locally on your device, and nothing is uploaded to ergonis servers. If you want to sync, you can choose iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, a company server, or another network location. On iOS, abbreviations sync via iCloud and require an Advanced or Business plan.

For teams, you can share snippet sets via shared links to keep messaging consistent. Typinator can also fix typos as you type, including brand names, technical terms, and company-specific language.
