About
Unclack is a small Mac utility that automatically mutes your microphone while you're typing and un-mutes you when you stop, with no interaction required. It works in the background with software such as Zoom, Skype, Webex, and Discord. It uses macOS system controls to mute input from your default microphone, so it works with any mic. It runs in your menu bar and requires Sequoia or later.
When you need to type while you talk, such as during pair-programming, you can pause Unclack from the menu bar and resume it later. A small mute indicator shows at a glance when active mute is on. You can also customize the menu bar icon, choosing from three icon designs, or change the mute indicator or turn it off entirely.
Unclack is available for macOS Sequoia and later. Follow and support it on Product Hunt.
