About
USB Overdrive lets you take full advantage of USB and Bluetooth mice, keyboards, trackballs, trackpads, joysticks, gamepads, and gaming devices from almost any vendor. It does not handle Apple mice, trackpads, or keyboards, because those have custom support in macOS and would lose functionality if the app took them over.
The app offers options to swap the scroll axes while holding down a modifier key and to individually invert the vertical and horizontal scroll axes. Version 5.4 is fully compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate and also works with macOS Tahoe 26, Sequoia 15, Sonoma 14, Ventura 13, and Monterey 12. Older macOS releases are supported by earlier versions, which are available from the Downloads page.
Before installing, uninstall any previous version of USB Overdrive and read the release notes carefully.
