About
Versions is a Subversion client for the Mac with an interface designed to help you work through any Subversion project quickly. It is also meant for people new to version control, with tools to commit your work, stay up to date, and track changes to your files. Developers, designers, managers, and editors are each addressed, from collaborating on multiple projects and reverting to earlier artwork to tracking project progress and integrating with ticketing systems.
Versions adds several tools to everyday work. Finder badges show which files and folders have changed, and the Versions menu lets you update, commit, add, ignore, or revert without leaving the Finder. The commit sheet lets you choose exactly which files to commit and compare differences without leaving it. The timeline can be searched by message, author, path, revision, or date, and ticket numbers in commit messages can be linked automatically to your issue tracker. You can also browse and manage repositories without checking them out, and lock or unlock files from the Browse view.
Versions supports all common SVN protocols and integrates with the macOS keychain, so no SSH key pairs are needed for svn+ssh. It runs on Apple silicon or Intel Macs with macOS 14.0 or later, and Subversion is built in. File comparisons require Kaleidoscope or another comparison app. A 7-day demo is available, and the app is priced at $149.
